1. Cool down. A part of the heat generated by equipment operation is taken away through the circulation of lubricating oil, which plays a role in heat dissipation and cooling of equipment parts, thus avoiding damage to sealing rings or holding pads due to the temperature rise of parts.
2. Sealing effect. Lubricants can effectively prevent the entry of moisture, dust and other impurities in the air, keep the interior of rotating parts of equipment clean, and effectively reduce the wear of parts.
3. Clean impurities. When the equipment is running, the rotating parts will produce some abrasive particles due to wear, as well as impurities entering from the outside. These abrasive particles or impurities are taken away through the circulating flow of lubricating oil, thus cleaning the rotating parts of the equipment and reducing wear.
4. Reduce wear. After the equipment uses lubricating oil, a certain lubricating oil film is formed on the friction pair surface of the parts, which can reduce the friction coefficient between moving parts of the equipment, reduce wear, and also play the role of damping and cushioning, extending the service life of the equipment.
5. Prevent corrosion. When the friction surface of equipment parts is covered with lubricant, it can prevent or avoid corrosion and rust caused by air, water vapor, corrosive gas, liquid, dust, oxide, etc.
