
Application of magnetic separation technology in manganese ore dressing
Magnetic separation is a mineral processing method that uses the magnetic difference between minerals to separate different minerals in an uneven magnetic field during manganese ore dressing. The magnetic separation method is widely used in the separation of ferrous metal ores, the selection of nonferrous and rare metal ores, the recovery of medium in heavy medium beneficiation, the removal of iron containing impurities from non-metallic mineral raw materials, the discharge of iron protection crushers and other manganese ore beneficiation equipment, the collection of scrap steel from the steel slag of smelting production, and the removal of pollutants from production and domestic sewage.
Magnetic separation is the main processing method for manganese ore. According to the scale of manganese ore separation by magnetic separation, magnetic separation plays an important role in domestic, the Soviet Union, the United States, Canada, Ruiqu, Norway and other countries. After beneficiation of manganese ore, the grade is improved and the content of silicon dioxide and harmful impurities is reduced, which brings many benefits to the subsequent smelting process. According to the production practice statistics in domestic, for every 1% increase in manganese concentrate grade, the utilization coefficient of blast furnace can be increased by 2-3%, coke consumption can be reduced by 1.5%, and limestone consumption can be reduced by 2%.
